If I shoot your important event, or portrait, or publicity materials for your business or non-profit, you will get well-composed and lighted photographs that make you, or your kids, wedding, business, special event look good.
But a lot of photographers can do that. So why talk to me? Because there is a next level to photography beyond mere technical quality. Great Photography not only looks good. Great photography tells a story. Great photography doesn’t just capture a moment. It frames an experience. That’s what I can do for you. Tell your story.
The Process
Discovery
We begin with an in-person, or possibly a video, chat.
We first discuss your needs and desires for the finished photographs. What kind of story do you want to tell? How many photographs will you need to tell it? The Discovery chat is a process of collaboration, from which we get a firm understanding of what we want to accomplish.
Next we discuss deliverables. How many photos? Do you want prints? What size prints? What kind of paper?
Do you want a photo book? If so, how many pictures? Any text? How many copies?
Social media photos are included in the base price.
If, however, after understanding your needs, I think your project is outside my areas of expertise and someone else can do it better, I won’t take the job; and I’ll refer you to a photographer who I think would be better for you.
Planning
Based on findings from the Discovery Chat, we will develop a plan for the Photo Shoot. The plan will probably include certain poses or group shots, especially for such events as proms or weddings; or businesses that need to photograph a certain number of employees or departments. We will also reach an understanding on any rules regarding when, where, and who I can photograph. On my part, the planning stage will include a decision as to whether I need an assistant; and any equipment needs in order to achieve the desired approach, e.g. reflectors, umbrellas, multiple flash units, etc.
Pricing
If your needs are outside of the basic package, we will provide a total cost that includes the desired extras. A 25 percent deposit will be paid.
Photoshoot
The Photoshoot will happen as agreed upon.
Review
A few days after the Photoshoot, we will meet to look over the images and pick the best ones. At this point, the photos will be color corrected and mostly finished, but customer input about production values will be welcomed.
Production
Photographs will be produced for all agreed upon outputs, include prints, photo books, and social media.
Delivery
Final photos will be delivered as agreed upon.
